Ambassador Ouyang Yujing Called on Malaysian Foreign Minister Hishammuddin

H.E. Ouyang Yujing, Chinese new ambassador to Malaysia, called on H.E. Dato' Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Foreign Minister of Malaysia at Putrajaya recently.

Dato' Seri Hishammuddin welcomed H.E. Mr. Ouyang's assumption of office as the new Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia. He pointed out that Malaysia pays high attention to Malaysia-China relations and will carry on with the Malaysia-China traditional friendship and elevate the bilateral relations to a higher level. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia stands ready to give full support to Ambassador Ouyang during his tenure.

Ambassador Ouyang expressed his gratitude for Dato' Seri Hishammuddin's reception. He said that China and Malaysia are good neighbors, friends, partners and brothers. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, both sides have always pursued mutual respect, equality and benefit, and accommodated each other's concerns. The relationship between the two countries has stood the test of time and will continue to prosper. As Chinese new ambassador to Malaysia, he will go all out to deepen the two countries' friendship, further explore the potential of cooperation, and strive for the better development of China-Malaysia comprehensive strategic partnership.

The two sides also exchanged views on high-level exchanges, vaccine cooperation, post-pandemic cooperation, projects under the Belt and Road Initiative and other issues of common interest.
